1st International Human and Animal Rights Law Moot Court Competition

 

On 6 December 2020, the oral rounds of the 1st International Human and Animal Rights Law Moot Court Competition were held under the Demark-Myanmar Programme on Rule of Law and Human Rights. It took place virtually as the result of the covid-19 pandemic. All three rounds were held separately, using the Google Meet platform.

All rounds were held in English language. The panels of judges were made up of legal experts on Animal Rights Law and Human Rights Law from different countries. The students from East Yangon University, Dagon University and Mandalay University took part in  this competition. In this competition, two teams from each University, Applicants and Respondents sides were argued on the given issues. Applicants from EYU won 1st place winner and Respondents from EYU won 3rd place winner.
