Human Rights Education Development Workshop

(1)        “Human Rights Education Development Workshop”

East Yangon University and Dagon University together with Denmark-Myanmar Programme on Rule of Law and Human Rights held a one-day “Human Rights Education Development Workshop” on 15 November 2019 at Sedona Hotel, Yangon. Law professors from 18 Law Departments who are leading and implementing human rights education for LLB and LL.M across the Country, international human rights education experts and Human Rights education team of the Denmark-Myanmar Programme, altogether 57 participants attended. The workshop covered brief presentation on introduction of human rights course in the higher education sector, current situation, success and challenges. It also covered some areas to be improved further in the future.

(2)        Rule of Law Field visit

There were 25 participants from DU and EYU on 19 Nov which involved field visit to MNHRC and were presented about 5 divisions/ functions of the MNHRC and did case studies as group works on the MNHRC.

 10 participants presented in the second day and two field visits to Yangon Region Advocate General Office (YRAGO) and Justice exhibition from MyJustice programme were involved. YRAG and colleagues presented about the history, roles and functions of the AG Office.
